I think the Bishop has come up with a plan to make sure that I come to Church on time.
Sunday, he called me into his office and gave me two callings, one being to do the bulletins for Sacrament meeting (the other is to do the Church magazine subscriptions). Ok, no big thing, I thought. It didn’t register for me yet that I had to get there early on Sunday to make sure everyone got them. Adam later pointed that out to me. Doh! We were there early last Sunday, though. Hopefully the new start time of 10:15 will help. That extra hour makes all the difference in the world.
Then today, he asked me to be one of the speakers in Sacrament. Ugh! When I saw the topic, though, I knew why. Don’t they say that the speakers or teachers always get the most out of it? I think that’s going to prove to be true here, too.
So, I think this is the Bishop’s new plan to get me and the kids there on time. Maybe I’ll start getting things ready on Saturday. Novel idea, huh? We’ll have to see how it goes. But, it will be good for me, and I’m happy to have a calling again. There is something to be said for feeling needed in the ward.

Awesome calling! You could make your boys stand at the doors and hand them out! Hey, good luck with the sacrament talk.
